For spring break in March 2007 we did some traveling around Oregon. On March 29 we traveled down to Sunset Cove near Coos Bay with a stop to see the Umpqua lighthouse around the way. Then on March 31 we traveled to Multnomah Falls on they way to see the Painted Hills. The next day we traveled to the Sheep Rock unit of the John Day Fossil Beds .
On March 10, 2007 we had another work day at the Meadows & Lake Kathleen where we unloaded some more rail and also laid some more track. Here are some pictures.
On Feb 21, 2007 two Norfolk Southern freight trains collided and derailed in Goshen, Indiana. Tim Bainter was able to go and get some pictures of the cleanup .

On January 28, 2007 we went to the Model Railroad show at the Valley River Center in Eugene, OR. They had layouts on display in N, HO, O and G scales. Here are some pictures from the show.

On October 28, 2006 we had another work party at the Meadows and Lake Kathleen railroad. We completed laying track on Blackberry Hill and now have only another 900 feet left to before the golden spike is driven.

On August 26, 2006 we took a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad in Garibaldi, OR for my son Peter's 18th birthday. Peter and I had a ride in the cab of their Heisler locomotive. Here is the website for the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad .
