Yesterday I got a CD in the mail from Tim Bainter with quite a few pictures. First the bad news, the Old Wakarusa Railroad is no more. The rails have all been torn up and the train has been moved. On August 4, 2007 Peter and I went to the Great Oregon Steamup at Antique Powerland in Brooks, Oregon. There we saw steam powered tractors, the 7.5" Willow Creek Railroad, a steam powered sawmill and much more. There were even two steam-powered ice cream churns. Here are some pictures from this day .
On July 28, 2007 there was another work day at the Meadows and Lake Kathleen Railroad. Around 50 people showed up and we were able to complete the main loop of the railroad. Here are some pictures of this day .
On July 14, 2007 I had the chance to walk around Boston before returning to Eugene after a conference. While there I got some pictures of the USS Constitution as it left the dock for it's turn-around cruise of Boston Harbor. I also saw the Old North Church and Paul Revere's house. Here are the photos.

On June 14, 2007 we went to Silver Falls State Park. My father, son Peter and I hiked on the Rim Trail and then the Canyon Trail, also known as the Trail of the Ten Waterfalls. Here are some pictures from that hike .
On June 2, 2007 we had another work day on the Meadows & Lake Kathleen railroad where we laid another 120 feet of track. Only about 450 more feet of track to lay before the main part of the railroad is finished. Here are some pictures .
The B-17G Aluminum Overcast made a visit to the Eugene Airport from May 18-20, 2007. On May 20 we visited the airplane and took some pictures of it .
On May 5, 2007 we had another work day on the Meadows and Lake Kathleen Railroad. This time we were doing maintenance work on the existing track. We started by extending the retaining wall at the end of the big trestle and then leveled track and spread ballast on other stretches of track. As a special treat we brought out the ballast car for the first time and used it to spread the ballast on part of the track. Here are some pictures .
On April 28 & 29, 2007 we had another wook weekend at the Meadows & Lake Kathleen Railroad. We finished the track in the yard and passenger loading area and extended the track out to the house. Here are some pictures from that weekend.
